November mit ihrer zweiten EP \u201eDusty Trails\u201c zur\u00fcck. Nach ihrer Deb\u00fct-EP aus dem Jahr 2018 er\u00f6ffneten sie das legend\u00e4re Dunk!-Festival von 2019 und dieser Auftritt bescherte der Band aus Leuven gro\u00dfe Anerkennung. Mit der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung des Full-Length-Albums \u201eDesert Of Real\u201c im Jahr 2022 wurden sie zu einem der besten Post-Rock-Acts Belgiens, die man im Auge behalten sollte. \u201eDusty Trails\u201c ist eine Best\u00e4tigung daf\u00fcr und festigt den Status der Band in der Szene.<\/p>\n<p>Obwohl Dusty Trails sein westliches Konzept im Cover zum Ausdruck bringt, ist diese EP im Vergleich zu Desert Of Real weniger konzeptionell. \u201eMit dieser EP wollten wir zum Wesentlichen zur\u00fcckkehren, damit der H\u00f6rer seine eigene Interpretation der Songs kreieren kann\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Gitarrist Jan Bouck\u00e9 die Entstehung der Dusty Trails.<br \/>\nAuf \u201eDusty Trails\u201c l\u00e4sst es das Leuvener Sextett bei der Instrumentierung etwas ruhiger angehen und steigert gleichzeitig die Komplexit\u00e4t seines handwerklichen K\u00f6nnens. Es gibt Momente, in denen die Vergangenheit der Mitglieder der Metalcore-Band Balances subtil durchscheint, wie zum Beispiel im wirbelnden, schweren Mittelteil von \u201eBeneath the Vulture's Gaze\u201c oder im ged\u00e4mpften Breakdown, der Jan Verduyckts Gitarrensolo in \u201eIn the Footsteps of the Nameless\u201c unterst\u00fctzt. . Der zweite Titel \u201eGrit and Glory\u201c kombiniert synkopierte Drum-Patterns mit Vintage-Surf-inspirierten Gitarren, w\u00e4hrend \u201eGold Fever Dreams\u201c die Band eine klangliche Weite erkunden l\u00e4sst, die Godspeed You! Black Emperor und Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving.<\/p>\n<p>Dank der Vielzahl an Stilen ist \u201eDusty Trails\u201c von Wanheda eine sehr unterhaltsame Platte zum Anh\u00f6ren. Die Kompositionen wurden sorgf\u00e4ltig bis ins Detail ausgearbeitet, ohne dabei das Gesamtbild aus den Augen zu verlieren.
