Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet – III

The Swedish post-metal band Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet (stories that lead to an end) already set a standard with their album II that seemed difficult to surpass. With the album III as a result, you can safely say that Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet has managed to develop itself further. Atmospheric post-rock evolving into post-metal is not new in itself, but this band really adds something to the genre. Sometimes a riff as a basis is enough, from which the band varies and the music can tell its story.

The foursome thus creates a virtual world in which you can lose yourself and let your own fantasies run wild. A strong point of the foursome is that the dynamics of the song are not lost sight of. This ensures that the songs have their own recognizable sound, and show a band that is well attuned to each other.

At Dunkfest '22 the band proved its strength and was seen by many as one of the unexpected highlights of the three-day festival. It is therefore no wonder that Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet's third album, which was released on May 20, 2022, ended up appearing on quite a few annual lists.
