GlerAkur – The Mountains Are Beautiful Now
GlerAkur is the brainchild of the Icelander Elvar Geir Sævarsson. The Mountains Are Beautiful Now was recorded in the basements of the Icelandic National Theater with 4 guitarists, two drummers and a bass player. Rolling Stone described the music as a perfect mix between Metallica and Pink Floyd. Bombastic, hypnotic drums propel the guitars and slowly but steadily drag on the music. This album consists of five long atmospheric soundtracks, which are carefully constructed in layers. As a result, you discover something new with every turn.
