A Burial At Sea from Liverpool has two brass players in the band and rarely have we heard such a great addition of the brass. The warm sounds of the trumpet are a great contrast to the sometimes harsh post-rock. Musically, the band apparently effortlessly moves between post rock, jazzy prog rock and post metal. As a result, the band is not easy to pigeonhole and they seem to have developed their own genre, we just call it trumpet-core.
Fans of bands like Whale Fall, *Shels, Coastlands or Eleanora will be pleased with this album.
