The second album of the Belgian band Capitan is called FACING CURRENTS and is a deep dive into the emotional struggle of discovering your true identity through prolonged loneliness, and trying not to lose it when trying to reconnect with others. Finding a balance between authenticity and connection without compromise.

Capitan caused a sensation with their performance at Dunkfestival in 2024, where they were suddenly added to the immense line-up as a replacement for Pothamus. The band had only released their debut album Cascades, but they completely blew the audience away. We were therefore eagerly awaiting the second album and the band delivers again. Melancholic vocals with outbursts of anger, combined with clear melodies and heavy riffs. The band musically navigates between shoegaze, postrock/metal and progressive rock.
